The Academic Committee brings professors and other speakers to the IRC, sponsors cultural events, week that was, trips to museums, etc.
Admissions: Anjali Merchant (adm5q@virginia.edu) & Alishba Kassim (aik4f@virginia.edu)
The Admissions Committee creates the IRC application, reads applications to the IRC and selects people to join the community, works with Housing, answers questions of prospective IRC residents, etc.
Beautification: Hong Huynh (hhh3w@virginia.edu)
The Beautification Committee makes the IRC a comfortable place to live, purchase art or equipment for kitchens/lounges, art/photo competitions, etc.
Communications: CHAIR NEEDED
The Communications Committee is in charge of communications between IRC Council and faculty, staff, RCs, hall reps, residents, etc. NOTE: members of this committee should ideally be members of IRC Council.
Diversity: Xiaoxi Lu (xl2v@virginia.edu)
The Diversity Committee focuses on diversity of all forms, brings speakers and holds events on international topics and issues of gender, sexual-preference, race, income, etc.
Entertainment: Imran Magdon-Ismail (im8b@virginia.edu)
The Entertainment Committee sponsors movie nights, guys/girls nights, Oscars, plays, performances, etc.
Fun and Games Committee: Mykyta Baryshev (mb4pu@virginia.edu)
The Fun and Games Committee sponsors poker, karaoke, video games, board games, carnival/field day, sponsor pool/ping-pong/air hockey tournaments at Newcomb’s game room, etc.
Health and Wellness Committee: Leah Li (lsl4w@virginia.edu)
The Health and Wellness Committee helps residents deal with stress, teaches about nutrition, organizes yoga, brings speakers on variety of health issues, etc.
Service: Courtney Rogers (cmr4c@virginia.edu)
The Service Committee organizes community service activities, works with the International Rescue Committee, sponsors 5K runs, bowl-a-thon, etc.
Social: Jeannette Williams (jaw4ez@virginia.edu) & Graham Evans (cge2e@virginia.edu)
The Social Committee organizes cooking classes, trips, camping, dances, broomball, bowling, S’mores cookouts, etc.
Sports: Sidy Toure (smt3f@virginia.edu) & Vladimir Petreski (vp8f@virginia.edu)
The Sports Committee organizes sporting events, sponsors intramural teams, outdoor excursions, Super Bowl night, NCAA tourney brackets, etc.

The Website Committee is in charge of creating, updating, and maintaining the IRC website, runs elections online, updates online calendar, etc.
