| 1. From the Start menu, select Programs
- Windows Explorer. |
| 2. From the Tools Menu,
select Map Network Drive. |
Step

|
| |
|
|
| 3. From the Drive section, select
a drive not currently in use, or accept the default drive. |
|
Steps
3-4

|
4. For the Path, type:
\\es-web1.eservices.virginia.edu\mst3k$
where mst3k is replaced with your website name ending
with the "$". |
|
| |
| For Steps 3-4 in NT/2000: If you are in
a domain other than ESERVICES, or use an id that
is different than your web server id you need to
select the option to log in as a different user,
and when you specify that user you need to explicitly
specify the domain as web. |
|
|
|
|
5. If prompted, supply your username and password.
Note: In the preceeding picture
\\es-web1 is used for the name of the server. If you
encounter difficulties, please try: \\es-web1.eservices.virginia.edu.
Additionally, if you encounter problems with the username
ESERVICES\mst3k, try es-dc1\mst3k.
|
| 6. You will then see a window that displays
the contents of your directory. |
| |
| Note: Step 7 only needs
to be completed if you need to access a database
directory. |
|
7. Repeat steps 1 - 6, but map the next
available drive letter (that is not already in use) to:
\\es-web1.eservices.virginia.edu\mst3kdb$
where mst3k is your website name ending
with the "db$". |
|
Step
7

|
| |
|
|
| If you encounter difficulties connecting
to the server, try adding eservices.virginia.edu to the
domain suffix search list in your TCP/IP settings. Also,
if you do not have WINS set up, you can add 128.143.3.199
and 128.143.22.189 to your list of WINS servers. |
